Live Arts Maryland continues the second half of its 2022-2023 season with two Broadway in Annapolis performances of “The Fantasticks” on Friday and Saturday, February, 17 and 18 at 8:00pm, at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.  Since its opening in May 1960 at the Sullivan Street Playhouse in New York and its subsequent revival at the Snapple Theatre Center, “The Fantasticks” has become the longest running production of any kind in the history of American theatre. The Fantasticks is an unusual love story set about by two meddling parents and features the iconic song “Try to Remember.”

Broadway in Annapolis – “Daddy Long Legs”

Due to the COVID case rate in Maryland we are asking that all members of the audience and all performers be fully vaccinated in order to attend an event. Upon entering the venue we will ask all patrons to show proof of being fully vaccinated or proof of a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours prior to attending a performance. You may show an actual vaccine card or an image on a smartphone.

Patrons younger than 18 may present a school photo ID. Those under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who meets the above requirements.

We are also asking that unless you are eating or drinking that you remain masked while on site.

Hopefully these precautions will be temporary, but for now this is our best way of being able to bring bring back live music and performances.

“Daddy Long Legs” is a show that I have wanted to do for several years since I first came across it and in fact it was being planned for later in the spring for the Live Arts Studio.

In addition to responsible in person seating at MD Hall, we are offering the option to “Live Stream” this concert for both the Friday (2/4) and Saturday (2/5) performances.

“Brigadoon” will be presented later in the spring when we can gather in larger numbers. Please come and see “Daddy Long Legs”, it is a beautiful love story that is full of hope and optimism. Maybe it is just the show we need to see during these uncertain times.

The Live Arts Maryland performances of “Daddy Long Legs” on February 4, 2022 and February 5, 2022 will be General Admission seating the day of the show. This update to the seating will help ensure all guests may seat themselves in an area where they feel most comfortable distancing from others. Doors will open for seating at 7:30 pm.
