Welcome to Our 2026-2027 Season

“Connections” is more than the title of our season. It is the reason we gather to make music.

Every concert creates a connection. Between the performers on stage. Between the performers and the audience. Between generations. Between stories from the past and the lives we live today. Great music has the extraordinary ability to remind us that, despite our different experiences, we share the same hopes, joys, sorrows, and celebrations.

This season, we invite you to experience music that tells timeless stories, each in its own unforgettable way. We begin with a powerful call for peace in Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace, we celebrate the enduring optimism of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!, continue our treasured holiday traditions with Celebration of Christmas and Handel's Messiah, revisit the magic of cinema through live orchestral performance, and conclude with the breathtaking power of Orff's Carmina Burana and Ralph Vaughan Williams' Serenade to Music. Each program offers its own story while reminding us of the enduring connections that music creates.

At Live Arts Maryland, we believe music is at its best when it’s shared. Whether you’ve attended our concerts for decades or are joining us for the very first time, you’re an important part of our artistic community. Every rehearsal, every performance, and every standing ovation reminds us that the arts have the power to bring people together in ways that few other experiences can.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We look forward to sharing another remarkable season of music, friendship, and inspiration.

Stories that inspire us. Music that endures. Connections that last a lifetime.

With gratitude,

J. Ernest Green
